Er vonden nauwelijks opzienbare gebeurtenissen plaats op Terschelling in relatie tot de busdienst. Van de 4 wagens, die in december 1989 aanwezig waren, ging de 3596 na de kerstvakantie weer retour Friesland. De 1669 kwam daarvoor weer terug. Als zomerversterking kwamen de Leyland´s 2633 en 2637 naar het eiland, zodat Terschelling in de zomer van 1990 weer helemaal een Leyland-bolwerk was.
